The entities have an amount of health points that represents their vitality. The value itself has no direct influence, but if it ever reaches zero, the entity is considered dead and can no longer execute any action nor be targeted. The corresponding UI disappears, and the body falls on the ground. The only event that can affect a dead entity is a resurrection effect, that brings the entity back to life with a given amount of health points.

Three major variables are extracted from this mechanic: The maximum health is the number of health points an entity has at the beginning the game. The current health is the current amount of health points an entity has, and the health percentage is ratio between the current health and the maximum health.
