The last characteristic is specific to AI-controlled entities. Each attack received by these monsters from the players generates a certain amount of threat according to the damages it dealt. The entity keeps a list of the total amount of threat for each player, which is used to find the highest threat of a monster, often considered as its primary target.

Eventually, this value can be affected by specific effects, such as the taunt effect, that immediately makes the player in question the highest threat and prevents any other player to take this status for a short amount of time, except with another taunt effect.

Finally, a healing done on a player generates a passive amount of threat on every monster on the map.
